"Got Stuff?" Raised $1250!

BYC Marine and Nautical Yard Sale Results

It didn't look like much, but at the end of the day the kitty was just pennies short of $1250 plus we got stuff that we will keep for the club - a bunch of Danforth anchors, a fire extinguisher for the new Soling, and a nearly new J120 spinnaker that will go on EBay or to a consignment store. Add that to the proceeds from the sale of an abandoned raft and motor and the total should break $2000!

Thanks to everyone who donated stuff and who came to help or buy stuff.

Still Available!

Bottom cleaning for boat up to 40' - $1 a foot, all proceeds to the BYC

And

Newport Mooring, Benton Cove, 1000 lb mushroom, could take up to an 80' boat, $50 a night or best reasonable offer - proceeds to the BYC

Call the BYC 631 725 4604 if interested in either of these two items or the spinnaker

"BREAKWATER YACHT CLUB CRUISING CLUB"

Sailors Wanted!

Hi, my name is Drew Clark and my wife Peggy and I sail our 1982, 30' C&C Free Flight out of the Sag Mooring field. As a member of the BYC Board, I am attempting to promote Day Cruising (to begin with) among club members.

Our day cruises should be relaxing and enjoyable. We can schedule some sails picking a destination. That could change depending upon wind direction and speed. We could schedule a day and destination, leave Sag at 8 or 9 am, and have lunch at the destination and return. If you wish you may choose to stay overnight and return the next day. It would be your choice. As the day approaches and the forecast looks bad we will reschedule. The whole idea is to have fun and sail to "new" places within your comfort zone.

Some of the destinations (we welcome suggestions):

● Gardiners Island (windmill)
● Shelter Island (West Neck or Dering Harbor)
● Devon Yacht Club (Promised Land)
● Cutchogue Harbor
● Orient Harbor
● Red Creek Pond
● Coecles Harbor (maybe and afternoon departure, secure a mooring at the Rams Head Inn, have dinner and stay the night.
● Block Island, Newport and Cuttyhunk might be a "someday" destination

If you are interested, please let us know me Drew Clark at 631 325 0815 or via email to MAE922@gmail.com. Come join us and have some fun!

Drew Clark
