The Oz Trophy Race is a week and a half away (7/6), so get your female skippers lined up and email me the full names so I can put them on the scratchsheet and results. The NOR for the Oz Race is attached. Summer Series Skippers don't need to fill out any forms, but need to tell me the name of the female skipper and if you are changing division (to non-spin).
We are having an exciting pre-start for the Oz Race this year. Sag Harbor is being visited this summer by 10 Military veterans familys who have been invited out to "Vacation" in the hamptons as part of an arrangement by a Not for Profit organization and "Jordans Initiative" a local organization headed by Chris Hearter. Anyhow, Chris has arranged for the families to all go out on one of the South Ferry boats for a harbor cruise that night, along with Vivian and the Merry Makers. They are supposed to leave the ferry slip around 5pm heading to near Jimmy Buffet's dock, and we were hoping that the boats might get out a bit earlier than usual so that the boats (flying the American Flag) could do a Pass in Review salute. A Marine Corps helicopter is supposed to fly over the ferry a couple times after the boats have finished the parade by the ferry.
