The Breakwater Yacht Club's 11th Annual Adventuresail Regatta for At-Risk Girls

Well, the weather gods have smiled upon us for the last 11 years, so it was bound to happen that it would "rain on our parade"
After a few early morning showers rolled through, the radar maps and weather forecasts analyzed, the skippers and race committee decided it was safe start the race. As the boats assembled for the start, the wind died then the roll of thunder could be heard in the distance.
As all the boats raced back to the breakwater, the rain began to pour.
We were, however able to finish the race (results below): and despite the bad weather, as you can see from the photos, everyone had a wonderful time!

Race Results
1st Place - Witchli (Fred Stelle and Chris Dowling)
2nd Place - Buckaroo (Bruce Tait)
3rd Place - Big Boat (Bud Rodgers)

1st to the Mark - Gossip (Greg Ames)

Race Committee - Dave Betts
