This is going out to about 250 sailors,
On Saturday, August 14, 2010, the 28th Annual Sag Harbor Cup is going back to Noyack Bay with Windward-Leeward racing for the Spinnaker boats (including some one-design boats). The Non-spinn. boats will start in Noyack but will finish at the Sag Harbor Breakwater. If there are some Spinnaker boats interested in racing back to the Breakwater, we can do that, and give a bottle of rum to the winner.
Atlantis Weather Gear is donating gear for prizes to be given out on Saturday at the party at the BYC Clubhouse after the race (Captain's meal included w/entry, crew and guests are $15 each). If you can't make it to the race on Saturday, there is a Summer Party at their new store located at 50 Jobs Lane, Southampton from 4:30 to 7:30. They will have cocktails, hors d'oeurves, music and door prizes at their party. 10% of their sales will benefit the Breakwater Yacht Club Junior Sailing Program.
I've attached a race entry form (partially filled in for the Sag Harbor Cup). The NOR and blank Race Entry forms are available on the ELIYA website: www.elisailing.org.
If you haven't sent in an entry form yet but plan on racing, please let Carol Morse know in an email (mintupoyo@verizon.net) ASAP, but definitely by Wednesday. Include your boat info (Sail #, PHRF number, etc.), and in what division you would like to race. Then of course, mail in the signed and completed Entry Form, PHRF certificate and check.
