MissionFish and BYC have teamed up to make donating easier.
As an eBay member you may donate any portion of your item's sale price to Breakwater Yacht Club (from 1% to 100% - you decide). The process is simple: First you need to visit the MissionFish web site and register - you need to be an eBay member with a valid credit card associated to your account (if not an eBay member visit http://www.ebay.com) - then visit http://www.missionfish.org/seller_regintro.jsp. Once a MissionFish seller you then post your item through MissionFish dedicating Breakwater Yacht Club as your charity. Then your item is forwarded to eBay and is accompanied by an (eBay Giving Works logo) and a (MissionFish logo) indicating that a portion of the sale is dedicated to a charity. Information about the charity, BYC in this case, is also provided. Then at the end of your sale the donation is made automatically. So get digging in your attics and garages - find that stuff you no longer want - sell it, make some money, and help Breakwater Yacht Club.
